I have an '87 LX & my climate control system has progressively deteriorated to the point where the
hot/cold slider has a delayed response of 10 to 20
min. if it works at all & the fan won't run in any setting from low to max.; The AC is working as I get cold air when at speed from ram pressure.
I removed the Logicon unit & found that the CPU located behind the controller had a poor hand solder job done on it. Additionally, one of the resistors
had gotten very hot but still worked.
The CPU has been resoldered but the above problems still exist.
Does anyone know what I should look at next. I'm thinking that either the IC on the CPU or the fan motor got damaged when the resistor got too hot.
Where & how best do I get at the servo motors & fan motor???
