When you loosen the nut that allows you to turn the dashpot to adjust it; you can loosen the nut, turn the dashpot until it no longer contacts the throttle, then tighten the nut back. Or you can take it off if you wish. I would first see if you get flame without messing with anything first. If you don't like what you see then go ahead and try the dashpot thing. Oh, and I have an '87 n/a Sport. I see you were at the other forum too, you'll see me there as well.
