Cartech made a bolt on non-intercooled turbo kit for the NA 7's that had a boost setting of 5-6 psi. Nelson's supercharger kits boosted with 6-7 psi. Each kit claimed about 40-50% gains on a stock RX-7 with no requirements for larger injectors. However, Chuck has the SC with exhaust and intake mods and required injector upgrades though. My opinion though, is if you're running such a low boost, it is likely that you won't need any other major modification provided that you are still running stock exhaust and intake. However, I would prefer to err on the side of safety and upgrade the injectors anyways.

: During this summer im planning on making a custom exhaust manifold with my local muffler shop to fit the turbo. But im stuck on some things like how big of a turbo should i use i know i have to get a small one so not to put out to much boost. Also whats the highest and safest possible boost level i can achieve without an intecooler. Ive heard around from people at the store it was like 3-4psi and if so how much HP is gained from that??? Im only going to use the car for daily driving and an occasional drag with the local ricers,so i dont need too much hp gains. Also am i gonna have to upgrade the fuel injectors if im running such a low boost?? Anyways sorry for the long post but i need every bit of feedback that i can get for this summer project of mine.
: So any replies will be very greatful in helping me achieve this goal of a safe running n/a with a turbo
: THANX AGAIN!!!!!
