Im looking on buying a newly rebuilt or used engine and was wondering if anyone new if i should get a j-spec engine or not. You see where i live there is no need for inspection (sniff test) any longer. Right now i have a 91 n/a coupe and wanted to go with a j-spec TII. Also in the j-spec engines in the TII or n/a do they have the same HPas in the U.S. Also if i were to use the TII engine would i need any extra parts like water pump,alternator,etc...or do the ones from regular n/a's fit??
Anyway if anyone could give me a little advice in where to get good quality j-spec or U.S. engine for a good price prefrebly under $1,000 if at all possible.
